Dalhousie, the eminent destination in Chamba district is at an altitude of 2036 m from sea level and is named after the British Governor General Lord Dalhousie. It is located at an altitude of 2,000mts above sea level and is at the western edge of the Dhauladhar mountain ranges. Often called India's Switzerland and Dharamshala is a city situated in the upper reaches of Kangra valley in the laps of Himalayas is hugely popular among tourists and visitors, coming across the country and the world. It is known for its incredible scenic pleasure & serene environment and is surrounded by dense coniferous forests consisting mainly of stately Deodar & Cedar trees. Both the towns are surrounded by varied vegetation - pines, Deodars, Oaks and flowering rhododendron. Dalhousie has charming colonial architecture, including some beautiful churches. Its location presents panoramic views of the plains and like a long silver line, the river Ravi twists and turns below Dalhousie. The spectacular snow-covered Pir Panjal Range of mountains in Jammu and Kashmir,Pangi Valley of Chamba and Sach Pass are also visible form these enchanting towns. Itinerary

Day 01: ~ Chandigarh- Dharamshala (247 km, 5-6 Hrs) : Pick up at the Chandigarh Airport of the Railway station and drive to Dharamshala in a cab, enjoy the natural scenic pleasures on the way to your hotel, all geared up to welcome you in a luxurious way. Check in to hotel and take a proper rest, spend your evening walking across the famous Market.

Day 02: ~ Dharamshala -Mcleodganj Local Sightseeing : The local sightseeing excursion of Dharamshala and McLeodganj begins on the second day. Visit the well-known Bhagsunath Temple (Water Fall) Mcleodganj, Naddi Dal Lake Dharamshala, Tibetan Monastery in Mcleodganj (upper Dharamshala) and Dalai Lama Temple. A visit to the War Memorial, Dharamkot, and St. John’s Church will also amaze you. Spend the rest of the night at the hotel.

Day 03: ~ Transfer From Dharamshala to Dalhousie (130 Kms,3-5 Hrs) : Take a trip to Dalhousie – one of the incredible hill stations of Himachal and is popular for its natural wealth and never-seen sights, on the third day. Post breakfast, the cab driver will take you to Dalhousie that takes about 3-4 hours. You can spend the rest of the evening at the hotel.

Day 04: ~ Dalhousie Local Sightseeing : Enjoy visiting Jandhrighat Palace, Subhash Bowli, Bara Pathar, Panjphulla, Subhash Chownk, GPO Dalhousie, Satdhara and the last but not least Old Churches of Dalhousie, Walk from GPO to Subhash Chownk through Thandi Sarak, Dain Kund, Bakrota Hills in Dalhousie. Spend an overnight stay in the same resorts.

Day 05: ~ Dalhousie-Khajjiar Local Sightseeing : Take a tour of small towns of Dalhousie-Khajjar. Enveloped by the enriching natural exquisiteness, you can make a quick visit to Jandhrighat Palace, Subhash Bowli, Bara Pathar, Panjphulla, Subhash Chownk, GPO Dalhousie, Satdhara and the Old Churches of Dalhousie, a walk to remember from GPO to Subhash Chownk through Thandi Sarak, Dain Kund, and Bakrota Hills. Also, the exuberance of the city of Khajjar, a not-so-known hill station near Dalhousie will crave for more. The evening sets you return to your hotel in the evening and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay there

Day 06: ~ Dalhousie â€“Chandigarh (314 Kms,6-7 Hrs): Drive back to Chandigarh Railway station or Airport whichever is preferable. The tour ends.
